Now Hiring: Paralegal/Legal Assistant
Cloherty & Steinberg LLP is seeking to hire a Paralegal/Legal Assistant, we specialize in business litigation, employment law, higher education litigation, and criminal defense. We represent institutions and individuals in all stages of state and federal litigation, helping clients to efficiently and effectively achieve their goals.
The firm’s Paralegals/Legal Assistants are core members of the Firm’s team and provide essential support to the firm’s mission of serving its clients. Each Paralegal/Legal Assistant supports the firm through case-specific work as well as through the performance of various firm administrative tasks. Duties of the position include paralegal work and collaborating with Firm attorneys on case-specific matter, document management assistance, assistance with office administrative tasks, client communications, assistance with billing and client account management, and occasional website and brand support.

This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, reliability and accountability, strong organization skills, creative problem solving, and good judgment. Our firm is a busy environment, where it is often necessary to multitask and juggle competing priorities. We take a team approach to serving our clients, and all members of our team are expected to demonstrate an excellent work ethic, collegiality, and a shared commitment to our clients’ goals.
Prior experience in legal work is not required, nor are there any specific technological proficiencies necessary to be a successful candidate for this role. However, a comfort with and enthusiasm for learning new skills, systems, and programs is at the core of the position.
This role is a full-time position offering a competitive salary plus benefits. A substantial portion of the work is expected to be in-person, but the work can be partially remote. We are open to working with the right candidate for an arrangement which makes sense for both the candidate and the firm.
